Brent's Collections
My friends probably think I'm a bit looney sometimes. One reason is because I collect LOTS of things.
Why? because everything is so collectible. I don't really collect EVERYTHING, but I do have a long list of things that I do collect. Here's a listing for you...and if you have anything you wish to add, send it to me! I appreciate all the help I get!
- Stamps: I really like US Commemoratives, but I do get many other types of stamps. My main source of incoming stamps currently is from work. Each day in our office, Melissa picks up our mail, sorts through it, and saves the stamps for me. I get quite a few stamps that way; lots of commeratives, and even quite a few foreign stamps from countries such as Australia, Canada, Great Britain, France, Zaire, South Africa, and many more...
- Mousepads: If you ever come to my office, you'll see my mousepad collection on the wall. I get mousepads from all kinds of people, places, and companies. Some mail them to me and some bring them to me in person. I go through many mousepads myself each year, so the old ones I retire to my wall. next time you're replacing your mousepad, don't throw the old one away...send it in and I'll place it on my wall. I figure that by the time I finally go insane, I'll have all padded walls in my office :)
- Beer cans: Most of this collection is in Houston at my parents' house. I don't have room (yet!)
- Keys: Need a key? I've got one that might work. They aren't sorted, but my box of keys is pretty heavy!
- Coins: Coins from around the world end up in my hands. I collect all types. I mainly collect US coins, but any foreign coin that I run across gets put into the collection as well.
- Comic Books:
- Computers (and parts): Mainly parts, but I've got about 11 computers sitting in my house (some on, some off, some run, some don't, etc...) That's what you get when you work on the 'Net, I guess.
Everything else is just one general collection of things in my life. I don't throw much in the trash...unless it's really trash. Not that I'm a big environmentalist or anything...I'm not (although I do recylce aluminum). I just find things all the time and add it to the rest of my posessions. You wouldn't believe how much FREE STUFF you can accumulate if you just look around!
